As you know we love to showcase local talent (duh, that’s what we do). How better to display our local talent than to share with you five brands we are infatuated with this month?

Brand: Crystal Jo (

Designer: Crystal Hannon

Details: Crystal Hannon is the designer and owner of “Crystal Jo.” The Annapolis, MD native debuted her ultra chic and feminine Parisian-inspired collection just last fall. While the collection may be inspired by the “City of Lights” all of the garments were produced right here in the United States.


Brand: Jennifer Jeremias (

Designer:  Jennifer Jeremias Jewelry

Details: Jennifer Jeremias is a jewelry designer who began repurposing vintage items before attending the Corcoran College of Art + Design to study metal-smithing and create her own line. Jeremais’ modern pieces focus on line and form.

Brand: EE Cuffs (

Designer: Veronica Gadea

Details: EE Cuffs is a partnership between friends Veronica Gadea and Leila Moazzez. The cuffs are crafted from recycled materials such as glass, magazines, fabric, and seashells.

Brand: UOYKCUF (

Designer: Greg Hines and Shandy Ross.

Details:  UOYKCUF (pronounced ‘yoy-cuff’) is a new and refreshing clothing line taking the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area by storm with its futuristic artwork and creative concepts.  The clothing line was created in late 2011 by 19-year-old Shandy Ross of Lanham, Maryland, in collaboration with her boyfriend Greg Hines.  On April 30, 2012, UOYKCUF launched its very own website which allows customers to shop and make online purchases. Right now, the website features a collection of graphic t-shirts ranging from Jimi Hendrix to the UOYKCUF symbol. Ross and Hines plan to add more variety to the line soon. Designer: Angela Bright

Details: Gigee Marie is a brand of handmade clutch purses designed for the woman who appreciated simplicity, details, and pops of color. These clutches would make a great addition to any outfit.
