This season, tribal inspired pieces seem to be all the rage. Whether it is over-sized button-up tops featuring the pattern, being paired with a solid colored high-waisted skirt, loose pleated Aztec-patterned shorts with a sheer tank to keep things cool in the summer heat, the patter is being found all over garments and accessories this summer for a ethnic-inspired wardrobe.

Tribal inspired pieces can be found on the racks of national retailers such as H&M and Forever 21, but for a more original patterned piece that you can brag about finding in the Nation’s Capital, stop by Urban Chic of Bethesda; just a short ride from the city, located at 7126 Bethesda Lane in Bethesda, Maryland for this Greylin Arizona Dress and pair it with this Rebecca Minkoff satchel also found at the store! Urban Chic Boutique also has a store located at 1626 Wisconsin Ave Northwest in Georgetown. Pair this look with a pair of black strappy Greek inspired flats, a black wooden bangle like this one found at Lou Lou Boutique that has three different locations right here in the Nation’s Capital! Located at 1304 Wisconsin Ave Northwest, 1601 Connecticut Ave Northwest or 950 F Street Northwest Suite 103.

Need an eye-popping look for a Friday night out on the town? All Saints of Georgetown‘s “Newaz Mini Dress” hand-embellished sequined layout is inspired by traditional Tunisian Tiles and combined with detailed references to African Tribal Wear, and is sure to turn plenty of heads!  You can find this intricate design at the All Saints location at 3235 M Street Northwest. Keep it simple for the rest of the look by pairing the must-have dress with a pair of nude, round-toe pumps like these Brian Atwood’s found at INTERMIX in Georgetown Park at 3222 M Street Northwest and this gold duo of crystals bracelet with peach colored crystals, also found at Lou Lou Boutique.

Not a boutique shopper? Prefer to browse the internet during your lunch break searching for trendy pieces to add to your closet? Check out the online vintage boutique; “French Toast Vintage”  to snag their only “Tribal Tendencies Top” for only $49.99 and pair with these pair of kelly green trousers, also available on the site, making this outfit suitable for a lunch date with a messy-bun and gold strappy sandals that will extract one of the tones from the hot piece!

Don’t be afraid to try this patterned trend out, keep the rest of the look simple and you are promised to give off a cool trendy vibe even during the most scorching temperatures the summer has in store!
