Eloquii Metallic Drop Shoulder Dress

Last year, fashion retailer The Limited debuted a plus size line called Eloquii. One of my favorite fashion bloggers showed some of their best looks from their launch party on her blog and I wanted to know more. Initially I wasn’t impressed. There was nothing new or different about what they were putting out. But over the last year, a lot has begun to change in their line & the way they market themselves and they have quickly become one of my favorite retailers.

Like most large retailers, their plus size line is limited to a few stores. But luckily one of those stores happened to be in Pentagon City in  Arlington, VA so I decided to head over to see what they have.

One of the things I love about Eloquii is that they are always having awesome sales. And I mean awesome. This past week they had 5 days of fabulous, which featured a new deal every day of the week. So I knew I would find some great deals!

I was anxious to try some of the fall pieces they’ve promoted in recent weeks, like this metallic drop shoulder dress. This is a dress that can be worn like a shift or belted for a more fitted look for the evening. Their clothes have a pretty generous fit, and you may even find you’ll need to size down.

I also nabbed a very chic contrast collar top, which is most definitely on trend. Try this with a pair of colored jeans or black pencil skirt. Beware though, this shirt is super sheer. I’m a fan of sheer tops so I don’t mind, but if you are leery, wear a fitted black or camel colored camisole under it. This top will also look great with a pair of skinny jeans.

Over the summer I purchased a pair of Eloquii royal blue denim jeans, so I wanted to try a couple of other pairs for a fit comparison. Another great thing about Eloquii is that they have a couple of different fits for their pants: classic and curvy. The classic has a bit more room, while the curvy nicely clings to your curves. I like the curvy, it fits better in the tush for my body type, but definitely check out what fit is better for you. These lemon yellow skinny jeans were to die for, and would stand out in the fall and winter. Pair these with a grey fitted sweater and a colorful pump. They come in other colors as well.

I’d definitely say a visit to Eloquii is worth the metro fare. They have more items online which isn’t surprising, but it’s always nice to try something on in the store. If you find a favorite look at Eloquii, please share! Find Body Conscious Beauty on Facebook and post your look at
